As a Business Analyst you will work closely as a bridge between business and Group IT stakeholders providing business analysis services within a project or within tactical /operational context. You understand the strategic business and IT drivers and will act as a change agent to plan and execute technology initiatives across the organization in accordance with identified business demands, with the necessary reliability, usability, and scalability.
Job Accountabilities
- Provide analysis expertise in identifying, evaluating, designing and developing systems and processes that are cost effective and align with user requirements and technology roadmaps
- Business requirement analysis, business case development, and the ability to make recommendations on tech products. The role requires capacity for fluency in technical and business expertise.
- Proven expertise in business process and/or data modelling
- Flexibility to the constant changing needs of the organization
- Working with business users of new and/or changed products to modify their processes and/or ways of working to derive the planned benefits for the company
- Establish a network of process experts that can provide the detail and context for existing processes, and that may influence others to help support or drive improvements.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff in the Business and IT
- Deconstruct complex processes into manageable simplified representations that facilitate strategic discussion and decision making
- Analyze, define and document detailed process workflows through user interviews, facilitated workshops and expert engagement
- Ensure all applications supporting the business are compliant with internal Roche security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements
- Facilitate and validate system and user acceptance testing
Requirements
- Min. 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
- Strong English (written & verbal)
- Ideally diverse experience in various domains
- Brings experience in developing and implementing various IT solutions in agile environments
- Is seen as a strong consultant and advisor for the respective business area and adds significant value in the delivery chain from understanding the need to the final deployment of the solution
- Extensive IT Project Experience in small to mid-size projects
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Project Management / Agile methodologies & Digital technologies
Nice to have
- Experience with Workday tool / Knowledge of the HR processes is a huge plus
- Good influencing, communication and team-working skills at all levels. Strong negotiation skills and proven track record in getting decisions / sign-offs
- Technically oriented analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, along with experience of applying industry standard business analysis approaches (including but not limited to brainstorming, interviewing, requirements sessions, user journey mapping, and use cases)
- Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs
- Ability to plan own work to meet objectives, and to work independently
- Comfortable working in a virtual team environment
- Familiar with the concepts, standards, technology, tools, processes, procedures, software and services in use for delivering information services
