The Project Founding Document is the most important document of project management (PAD, according to PMI: Project Charter) which is made in the preparation phase. In this document we describe, among other things, the objectives, main characteristics, results products, schedule, milestones, necessary resources, the project organization with responsibilities, as well as the risks identified in advance and their management.
A PAD of the right quality contributes to the final success of the project, as we can measure subsequent changes (in scope, resources and timing) to the foundations laid in the PAD, compared to the project redesigned.
